The scammers will send you a check for $2900.00 which you are suppose to cash at your bank and then purchase gift cards. Next you will copy the image of the cards and email them back with a report of the service you receive from the business that you purchase the cards. I called the check issuing bank and they told me the check would be declined. So what a person who do not know will do is, cash the check and have it be returned for insufficient funds, give the scammers the card numbers through the image you send and now you will be left paying the returned check and any fees that come along with it and now the scammers have used the numbers to get money.

Received an invite from a seemingly legit recruiter on LinkedIn for part time work as a shopper to help obtain market research, so my wife signed up to see how it works. Attached are the next two emails that she received. The deal seems too good to be true, so we think it is a scam. Have you seem anything like this recently?
