I received an email from someone who seemed to be a professor at the University of Rochester looking to hire people for a research job regarding supplemental drugs in retail pharmacies in the US. He said he was willing to pay $250 a week as compensation for my work. After finishing the first week of work, I received a check in the mail that ended up being counterfeit. When I found this out, the scammer began requesting that I purchase a $250 VanillaOne Visa gift card and purchase a subscription to SurveyMonkey.
