I was scammed . I thought I was communicating with a friend on Facebook Messenger. I thought it was my friend sending me a message. My friend stated that he received a Government Grant for $90,000. He had to pay $2000. There were different amounts. I thought it was legitimate. He payed with a Visa or American Express gift card. The scammer claimed to be with the United States Program Income and Public Assistance Fund. PIPA Grant. I could not get a hold of my friend to verify this. I thought it was on the up and up. Then I thought I should not have to pay an upfront fee. Then I got a message from Agent Jackie Statum Allen. Told me she was a Christian. She would have no reason to lie to me. It was kind of a sob story that it was not a scam. She said I qualified for a $90,000. She had asked my name, address and mother maiden name. I gave out the information. I trusted my friend. All communication was on Facebook Messenger. She requested $2000 upfront fee. It was some kind of fee. She wanted me to buy a gift card. Visa or Apple gift card. Take a picture of front and back of card and end to them. I purchased four Visa $500 gift cards. Purchased a Discount Drug Mart. I did this on November 28th. I realized it was a scam when everything was approved. They would send my winnings in a box by UPS. Then they could not send the money. They needed an additional $1000 for s stamp fee. I did not send the additional $1000. I finally got in touch with my friend. They tried to scam him too. They used his account.
