I received a call from some lady who refused to identify herself by name with United. They stated that my phone number was provided to them by my mother and they wanted me to verify her Social Security number and date of birth. I refused and asked her what the phone call was about. She stated that there was a lawsuit pending against my mother but she declined to state who the complainant was and said there would be a process server coming through to serve papers. I researched them online, and there was nothing regarding a company called United that wasn't a healthcare MCO, grocery store or airline. I called the number back and a different person answered and asked my mother to verify the same information. She refused and asked what it was about. They refused to provide her with any information regarding a "lawsuit" against her. We waited for a process server, and of course, none showed up. SCAM! First off, if there was an actual lawsuit pending, either the papers would have come in the mail or a process server would have showed up out of the blue. They most definitely would not call someone's family member to solicit someone's personal information.

My daughter got a call on 12/16/21 stating that I gave them her number to contact me that they were looking for me . Then today I got a call from her being rude she had my social and address said she spoke to my ex and that she was sending a processor to serve me then hung up . Then I called the 866 number that she gave my daughter and the first guy was getting mad because I wouldn’t give my social security number then a second guy started yelling at me telling me to shut my mouth and he was on the phone with a processor to have me served calling me a loser etc . Then he hung up I called back and then I get that the number is no longer in service .

My mother received a call from this company saying they were going to sue me for a debt that was never resolved. She gave me the info and I called the number. I was told the name of the company and who the original debt was supposedly with. I asked where the business was based and he refused to give me that information. He proceeded to try to get payment in full from me which was over $1000. I kept asking questions to try to verify this debt, like are you mailing me a Notice of Debt and I was told that they don't mail anything, they only serve you papers. I believe it is the law that a Notice of Debt is required to be mailed within 5 days? I kept asking questions and told him I did not feel comfortable making payment over the phone when I'm not sure if this is legitimate and he said ok then we'll see you in court and hung up on me. I called the company he claimed was the original debtor and was told by them they do not use that company as a third party collector, so I believe this is a scam.

I received a voice mail saying that there were legal preceding's being filed against Joe *** and that they showed him living at my address and I needed to call and verify if he lived there. I should call ***1 and ask for the legal department. I call from a unlisted number and they will not tell them anything unless I gave them my cell number. I would not give it to them, just Joe *** name, they had my name and number, but could not connect the dots and were not happy when I told them I would not give them that info until I could verify the call was not a scam. They answered the phone as United and said they were a company located in Dallas, TX that contracted/worked with Law Firms. I can not find anything about them in the internet, so I assume it is a scam.

I received a call at work from 216 225-5062. The receptionist believes the company name was United. The caller tried to get me to say Yes. He asked questions like 'you are a hard person to reach' and 'can you hear me'. When they realized I wouldn't say yes they hung up.
