United Post Address Reports & Reviews (6)

I just moved and was trying to sort out all of the new accounts. Water, waste management, change of address. I google searched change address and this was the first one that came up. I was working too fast trying to get all of my accounts set up I didn’t take a minute to double check the url. I filled out the info and paid the price that promised address change and adding to the do not call list, which I found the most appealing because I have had so many calls lately. After I made the purchase I saw the email confirmation and knew at a glance it wasn’t USPS and I made a huge mistake. I tried calling their support and it’s obvious it is fraud because the first thing it asks is do you want to dispute the charge. If you do it automatically you can get half back. I hung up and tried to call my bank to report it as fraud, but it was too late in the day to get through.

I called back a week later to the fraud sites support number and got a representative. I asked “how will I know when the address change has taken effect?” They replied with, “oh we can take off half the charge.” The. I said, “I am going to call my bank and have them remove the charge.” They replied, “we will remove the charge and fully refund you. Please do not file a dispute with your bank.”

I do have a confirmation that I will be refunded. I do not see the money back yet. I felt compelled to report them somewhere. So here I am.

- New York, NY, USA

I was looking for USPS mail forwarding and this website came up first on Google with "USPS" written. Their website looks official and I filled out the information. There was no advertisement of any charge when I put my account information in. I didn't think twice because I know USPS charges $1.05 for mail forwarding. I got an email saying that they charged $90 to my account.

- Nashville, TN, USA

This webiste is set up to mimic the USPS and their mail forwarding service to get you to pay to get mail forwarded from your old address to a new address. The pricing is obscure and not labeled at check out, which should be your first clue not to use/trust this service.

- Kent, WA, USA

They came up as the first ad when I searched usps forward mail. It says "Submit a Move Change - Address Mail Forwarding" but look closely because this is not the USPS. Look closely at the first word, it will say "AD" DO NOT CLICK that. The website looks similar to the USPS but is not true.

- Philadelphia, PA, USA

I wanted to change my address and used this site, did not know that it wasn't USPS until I got a 90 dollar charge on my bank account.

- Oak Park, IL, USA

The website looks legit and official until you're on it and realize the typos, Internet address, etc. They then charge you $89 for fees, which they don't even show you on the first page upon putting in credit/debit card information. When you call them to dispute or obtain a refund you only get 50% of it back. Make sure you report it to your bank to ensure you get all the money back. Also make sure you get to the official USPS website to forward your mail. They could change your old address to their new one and obtain credit card/debit card information, sensitive information, etc. Please beware.
