I got an auto loan financed through this company when I turned 18 and I was told I would not be given an interest-rate over 20% for the vehicle I had purchased and put $1500 down on it’s been nearly 2 years I paid over $10,000 and the statement I keep receiving say I still owe $7000 which can possibly make no sense if I put more than that down every time I call they tell me they have the right to raise my interest rate and that since no other bank would finance my loan, There’s no cap on the interest rate. They have now raised my interest rate to 41% which is highway robbery I’ve tried to call and pay off the difference from what I have paid and they tell me that I have to pay $7000 and there’s no other option they add $1000 per year to the loan I have seen in my statements it’s very frustrating because my car in the Kelley blue book is not worth more than $6000 and they are trying to charge me $16,000 and will not let the loan out from under me. From what I can ascertain it is illegal to charge that insane amount interest-rate period. They seem to be above the rules and I need help , I just wanted to have my first car payed off before I was 20 and they have prevented me. My monthly payments for the car are $417 when it USED, to only be 300$. They will not let you meet in person and everyone on the phone will not give me another option other than to pay the $7000 I have tried to call and pay $4500 and close the loan but they insist kn robbing their customers. 41% interest for a young worker is highway robbery and someone needs to stop them. I need help.
