Received email from this company saying I owe $1,230 or they are taking me to court. Email was in English with very bad grammar. More like broken English. Email didn't say what it is was for or the name of the company. IT did, however give my name, the town and state I live in and my social security number!! This is scary. I emailed back asking what it was about. They state they are United Fair Credit Council LLC and they are supposedly the "parent payday loan company that owns more than 350 payday loan websites all over the USA." This is a direct quote from their return email. I googled the company name, IP address is from San Jose CA. Google doesn't show a company with that name. They are not a licensed lender in the state I live in. What is most important is that I did not take out a payday loan with USA Cash Advance as they allege. I believe that this is a scam/phishing scam.
