Went on United website to cancel flights for 2 passengers &was directed to the 888-575-5030 number (which I found out today is a scam number). The Sheldon person charged me an upgrade fee which appeared in my credit card statement as a charge from “travelomiles “. He then gave me his personal number to be used when I rebooked. I used that number because I didn’t know how else to access my $655 in credits. He rebooked us but said we would need to return Saturday rather than Sunday to avoid $700 more for airfare. He said that deal

Would only be good for another hour. We booked it and were charged $812 in addition to our $655 credits from the previously cancelled flight and $$298 upgrade fee which =nearly 3 times the original price. I called after we arrived at our destination to cancel the second half of our return flight and was told we would need to cancel the whole trip and rebook the first part for a fee of $425. I then stated I was not giving them any more money and started following up with United through their app. They labeled the experience as fraud. Now I worry that they have my CC number!
