Someone saying they were affiliated with Konica Minolta (our printer vendor) called and let me know that our toner was low and could I verify our our printer number. I provided this because we do have a way to detect low printer cartridges through our IT department. Cartridges were delivered and I received a bill for over a thousand dollars. It was addressed to my name and a title "accounts payable" which I do not have. My role is receptionist for a medical office. Our hospital system only pays through contracted vendors and AP is way beyond my role. If they would like their cartridges back, I would be happy to send them. A prepaid label would be helpful. I would also like for that business to be fined or reprimanded in some way, as this scam seems to be happening to others on a regular basis.
