Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Coming back to the states soon after having been away for a long time. Requested Western Union transfers of $ 10,000.00 X2, $2,000.00 several times. Total amount $ 55,032.
He used stolen pictures of himself and his family claiming to be his. I tracked the pictures to a family in South Australia, I have failed to get in touch w\ them so far.
I know these suggestion sound like common sense, but I did not have any.
#1 Make sure person is local and you meet face-to-face.
#2 When he says don't tell anyone beware
#3 it's endless don't let your guard down.
