My computer was hacked with a Trojan virus, a pop-up window said to call this number (833-318-2563) and an IT tech would help resolve issue. He told me the virus entered computer (and all other wi-fi technology in my house) via my IP address and they could delete the virus with IT coverage for 1 year at $249.99/but he encouraged the 5 year coverage for $499.99 (a black Friday deal) but they would need my VISA. He asked for the last 4 numbers on my card, which I gave him. He asked that I keep my computer and my phone on as he had taken over my computer and will rid it of the virus, which I did. The connection was cut off and he started calling me repeatedly. I did not answer any of the calls (8 times), then he started using a different #612-712-7393. I took my computer to the Geek squad and they said this is a scam they have had to help other people fix and it was a good thing I did not give them the complete VISA number. I was also told to contact our financial institutions, credit card companies etc, to notify them of the scam and the virus on my computer.
