While skimming through my FB, I clicked on one of the many stories about keto diets, which pop up all of the time. I thought this was just another story about Rebel Wilson losing weight. Being in the field of nutrition, I often have stories and marketing ploys about diets and nutrition pop up in my social media. Upon reading the story, you had to click on an arrow to further read the rest of the story, however once I saw it dragging on and eventually turn into suggestions to purchase whatever it was advertising, which was never actually identified, I tried to exit out of the story. The problem was I could not exit the story; there was no ability to go back, and there was no obvious "x" to exit. I had to eventually turn my phone off completely. Then a few days later, my Google pay account notified me of 3 payments charged to some random named supplements; this with no authorization from myself, no offering of an email or my address (except that it was stolen from my Google pay). Of all 3 supplements, only one number was listed; I called and demanded a refund and to remove me from their list, and stated I would notify the BBB, which they said they would remove me from their list. 2 weeks later, my bank account called me to say two fraudulent charges of 119.98 each was charged to my account, without my knowledge or approval, and through my Google pay. While my bank is looking into the matter, I also noticed 2 other business names popped up: Advanced organic choice and Vital plus wellness.
