Made contact with the "scammer" in late January, 2019, through the Home Advisor website (we believe) and scheduled a meeting at our home. "Kevin" arrived on January 21, 2019, as agreed and looked at our garage floor repair job. He was friendly and very interested in the job of a partial garage floor replacement. He spent time with us and provided an estimate for the job ($2,850) but indicated that he needed 1/3 down ($950). We discussed doing the job in the late spring or early summer. We were ok with that and, unfortunately, wrote his company, Ultra Concrete, a check for $950. This check was cashed (we have pictures of the endorsed side of the check) and he emailed us a detailed invoice outlining the plan. We started to make contact for scheduling in late April and continued into May and June. The excuses were the "spring rain, scheduling issues, illness, don't have time to talk -- will call you back, etc.". This continued into late June and all of July. The last phone contact was Monday evening, July 29, 2019. The conversation was short -- "can't talk right now -- call you back in an 1.5 hr." Of course, he never did. A reverse phone look-up search revealed the name attached the above cell number to be Thomas Kevin McMahon who supposedly lives in Farmington, MI, but has homes (or former homes) in California, Oregon as well as numerous phones.

I paid in full for my patio to be replaced/redone. First time home buyer, single mom. Kevin *** and Travis *** address for Kevin is *** *** ***. Shelby Twsp. 48317. Address for Travis is *** *** *** *** *** *** Not only am I finding out people are looking for them but they took my money, made damages to my house and now I have to pay for someone else to tear out a sloppy mess they made and redo costing way more than he stole from me. Meanwhile they kept telling me they would come back and make me happy, saying he’s a family man.. Excuses after excuses for 3 months. I contacted bbb/channel 7/ and now I’m small claims them for the amount of $5550.00 which is not nearly enough of the 3 months they lied and stole from me.
