was contacted by an automated message on 11/23/15 from 866-245-2801 about financial obligations. I called the number back the person stated that they were contacting me to settle a debt that was owed from 2013. They had my social, banking info, address and email address. They asked me if I remembered taking out a loan from Lazer Lending in 2013. I did not and began asking further questions, they kept putting me on hold and said that they were sending me a summons. I told them to send me something in writing she then transferred me to her supervisor. He told me that I took out this loan in 2013 for $400 and only made a $100 payment and with interest I now owe $2300, but he would settle for $873 and possibly $500 if I made payment today. I asked for company name and he told me UFC Recovery. I asked again for detailed information to be sent to me, he told me he only had the summons and to wait and be served. On 11/25/15 my husband received a call from the same company. I called back and got the same run around and then left on hold for 13 minutes. I received an email from doc serve with a letter with no letterhead, no address, or contact person's name. I called back and requested more info the lady told me wait for your summons and hung up on me. I tried calling back and asking for company name several times to be hung up on each time. Then on 11/25/15 at approximately 2:40pm received a call from number 844-515-1207 a man telling me the same story about me owing money from 2013 and that I wrote a fraudulent check. I asked him why hasn't this company attempted to call me for their debt before now and he said that I should have received numerous calls and a letter on 9/3/15. Which none of this is true. When I kept asking questions he stated "wait by your door for your summons and hung up on me". I have researched this company name only to find multiple people complaining about similar calls and calling them scam artists. I never received money from Lazer Lending on 7/2/2013.
