My son who is 22 and on a limited SSI income due to a disability has been scammed out of $1600 and a car. He purchased a car from a guy named William Brennen Bingham from Austin, TX who stated he was affiliated with TW Auto Sales, this was in July 2019. He bought the car for $2500., he put $1600 down, made a $150 payment in August. The paper license plate that William put on the car was FAKE. My son got pulled over for the fake paper tag and the car got towed for that reason. He contacted the guy who said it was not his fault. The guy had someone get the car out of the impound but had it towed back to his car lot in Austin (my son is living in Waco). He told my son he would now have to pay a $286.50 tow fee, a $500 repossession fee, and the balance of $850 before he could have the car back. This guy is scamming my son, and I'm sure my son is not the first person to go through this with this car I'm sure. TW Auto Sales is not even open anymore, it is now E & V Auto Sales, no one wants to help us. My son is now out $1600 and without a car. He was only provided with a written bill of sale and a copy of this guys drivers license.
