This guy Gary states that I am hired for a WFH job for $15/hr doing data entry. Then informed me that I had to pay $75.00 for their equipment. So once I got the $75 I paid thru CashApp and sent it to a Sylvia Michaels who is supposedly the vendor that would be delivering all my materials. Then I was told I had to buy software from eBay for $130.00. So I told Gary that we weren't able to do that. He then proceeded to say he would talk to his accounting manager to see if he would email me a PDF check. We started to realize it was a scam and tried to get the $75 back but Sylvia Michaels declined my request. Then they sent me a check via email for $950.00 to cover my software and my sign on bonus. My bank checked out the account and routing number on the CITIBANK N.A. Bank and determined that it was fraudulent. So I message Gary back and told him that my bank checked out the emailed check and said it was fraudulent. He replied back with my company would never send a fraudulent check.
