I logged in to what I thought was the TSA Precheck website. Went through the entire application and paid the fee of $140.81. Received an email confirmation from TSA for the appointment for my husband to go to the local site for his document verification and fingerprinting. When he showed up for the appointment, they told him that the fee paid had been fraudulent, but that the rest of the application was normal. They said that a lot of people were getting scammed and they had no idea how it was being phished through their website. I am protesting the charge with my credit card company.
