I called the phone number yesterday, and got a man named Josh. He told me he could show it to me yesterday, ideally 2pm, otherwise 4pm. I said I would confirm which time and see him there.
I texted the same number that we would meet at 4pm.
He arrived late (4:15), with another female agent. They never introduced her, I don't know her name, nor Josh's last name, if that is his name.
While we were waiting, once of the current tenants came out to say hi. He said he had moved in a month ago. Josh had told me that only the owner lived there, and that the entire property would be available April 15, including the unit that tenant was staying in. The tenant seemed to think we were there only to look at the other unit, and seemed to have no awareness of his unit also being offered for lease.
Josh and the woman refused to even show us the property. They said that they needed to receive and review the rental applications first, which was not what Josh had expressed to me over the phone. They also told me that they didn't like that we have a third party high net worth party who would be on the lease paying the rent, which is something every other realtor loves to have backing a lease, I think because they know they can't scam people who are actually business savvy.
Overall they were rude, accusatory, and took no responsibility for the situation.
I looked up the company, "Fairfax Investments LLC." The entity is a financial services company. There is no online listing for a real estate agency under that entity. They are based in Beverly Hills, and there is no Bay Area phone number listed for the company.

I checked LinkedIn as well, and I can't find anything that indicates it's a real company.
I called the listed owner, he had no idea what I was talking about and hung up on me.
I don't believe the "agents" who showed up have any actual relationship to the property, and I believe based on their insistence to have our rental applications before showing us the property, that they're running a scam to steal people's info and/or $25k deposit money.
