Type of a scam Online Purchase
I got a text message Monday, 5/17/21, at 0940 hours, stating that I can complete my order here or reply STOP to opt out. I replied STOP. I received a follow-up text at 1003 hours stating that I have been unsubscribed.
On Tuesday night, 5/17/21 I was checking my email and saw that I got an email from Customer Support, dated that same date, 5/17/21 at 1335 hours thanking me for my order, customer #XXXXXXXX, and that it will appear under True Wellness on my credit card. I checked my credit card statement and it shows a pending purchase for $239.82 dated 5/17/21 under True Wellness Choices. I did not authorize this purchase.
I immediately called the credit card company fraud department and told them that I did not authorize this purchase. I did not use my credit card today. I told this credit card representative that my card was denied yesterday, which he verified, so I asked, "Then how did this purchase go through?" He said that it was denied yesterday to a company called Keto Advanced but that today it was ordered and went through under a company called True Wellness Choices.
I called the number listed on the receipt from Customer Support, (855)664-0768, but there was no answer because it was after business hours. I also sent an email to [email protected] but have not yet received a response.
The credit card company gave me a phone number listed for True Wellness Choices, (833)682-2711. I called that number several times but it quickly goes to a recording stating that "the number is busy. Try again."
Today, 5/18/21, I called (855)664-0768 during business hours and spoke to a True Wellness Choices representative. Although he was very polite and said that he never heard of such a thing as I explained, and said that he shows one purchase on 5/17/21 for $239.82 from me on my credit card. His computer did not show that I attempted to make a purchase for the Keto 1500 on 5/16/21 and that my card was declined. Again I said that I did not contact this company by any means to make a purchase on 5/17/21, nor did I even use my credit card on that date, nor did I authorize anyone to use my credit card numbers to make a purchase. He then gave me this email address, [email protected] to voice my complaint and cancel this order.
He said that he could not cancel the order because it already shipped. I rechecked the email from True Wellness Choices and clicked on "Track My Order" and it reads that it is "Preparing for Shipment".
