I was initially messaged via text from an HR representative stating that they found my job application on LinkedIn. Come to realize, I did not apply for this position on LinkedIn. They sent me checks as PDFs to use for equipment, which were flagged by my bank as potential counterfeit. After a few times of trying to send payments to "vendors" via Zelle, after the funds cleared to my account, to no avail, I was asked if I had Venmo or Cashapp. I attempted Venmo which I find hard to track. All of my red flags are now raised since receiving notice that my bank accounts will be closed due to fraudulent activity.
