There was a promise of creating a facebook ad campaign with video where the scammer said he would provide services of creating a video ad campaign using his own program system, also claimed he would have a videographer come out to our office to make a commercial video to use for our facebook for our dental office, he also said he would help to remake our website all for the cost of $300. The scammer said he would get all of this done in a one month span of time but after receiving the money he did not accomplish anything promised aside boosting a few posts from videos our company had created. We specifically told him that was something we could have done ourselves and that was not what we hired him for. The scammer said it was taking so long because he was trying to research data for target audiences, however, that process should have taken less than a week to complete. For two months he made promises and was unable to complete any of them. At the end he said he would return the money as he could not actually provide the services as promised. He then asked for my boss to purchase an app for him to wire back the money which we did then sent him the information in hopes of recovering the loss. Via text he confirmed he would return half the money but when asked about he stopped responding. We then sent another professional message stating if he were to return the money by a deadline we would accept only half but if he did not send the money by the time it was asked we would expect full reimbursement. At this point he is no longer responding to calls or texts or emails about the situation. We believe this person is a scam artist and had no intention of following through on his assignments.
