It started with the posting of an RV (2005 Coachman 810895-Concord 275DS posted in April 2019) for sale on Craigslist. No phone was provided so I emailed. It took a couple of days and I received an email response from a Natalie M. Caldwell ([email protected]) acting as the seller. She stated she had consigned the RV with TAS (Tritech Auto Sales Group). She sent a lengthy email about the condition of the RV and provided links of where to contact Tritech. Supposedly, Tritech handles every part of the sale along with shipping and I'm covered by a 7 Day Money Back Guarantee and full refund of payment if I'm not satisfied. I was able to online chat on the Tritech website but was never able to reach anyone by telephone. The phone numbers provided just kept ringing (no answering machine ever picked up). The website looked legitimate as well as the paperwork. Received confirmation of payment along with scheduled delivery date and time of delivery. The paperwork indicated that the truck driver would be calling within two hours of delivery to confirm exact directions as to where the item was to be delivered. Said phone call was never received. Immediately I started researching the situation further. Conveniently, the website disappeared, emails from the seller were no longer in my email account and no one answered any of the phone numbers noted in the paperwork in either the US or Canada. The website claimed to be https secured. My bank researched the company as well and felt it appeared to be safe to complete the transaction. My bank wired the money to a CitiBank account at 111 Wall Street, New York, NY 10043. By the time I realized there was no RV, my money was gone. I immediately sent emails to the seller and several communications to the company through their LiveChat with no response as that was the only means left available on their website. Long story short, I lost $22,900 in the deal.
