$2142.00 to capital one owed to fake credit card #3349, had full social security number and stated they would garnish wages. Calling parents home, brother in Michigan, employer, etc.

Wife received multiple phone calls and voicemails from this number regarding an audit on her grandfather who has been dead for 5 years. I called back asking for information on the company "so I can check you ScamPulse.com status and rating" and was hung up on during the first call, cursed and yelled at on the second call (because I would not confirm relation to the dead man in question BEFORE the woman on the other end would tell me anything about the company), and then on the third call (from my own phone) I finally asked for a supervisor (the man who answered said he was one) who subsequently started telling me that the case status had been updated (before he should have even known I was calling on behalf of my wife. That told me the office was tiny.) The man was exasperated and rude. He acted as though I had offset HIS day by calling to bother them. I asked how, in the course of five years, no one involved in the legal proceedings leading to this interaction had stumbled across the very public news of this man's death. He said "that's the kinda stuff we find out on these phone calls." Then hung up on me.

Kathy *** called me yesterday and said I had two charges out against me due to a credit card! She was very sly and talked like she was very concerned and wanted to get this taken care of.

I was contacted by Mrs. Greene at ext 219 regarding $855 that I owed to HSBC. She was unable to share with me what company I owed the money to originally, only that it needed to be paid today before they took me to court. She stated it may be from a Capital one account but that they hold all the records. I told her I would need to call her back. I called Capital one and they had no record of any old card I had with the account number she referenced. I called back and received a voicemail. I left a message and she immediately called me back from a "local" to me number. I asked her a few additional follow up questions. She said, "I told you that they would not have any of the records, I don't know why you call them. We hold all the records. Either you want to pay it or not. Stop wasting my time, we will just see you in court" and hung up on me. I hope this is not a valid claim, as I am unaware of any funds I owe to any old debt for $855. Seems strange this was the first call I received and the money needed to be paid today or else.

Numberous calls to me and family members. Claiming I own a debt over 3,000. Company willing to settle debt for 600.00. Refuse to give company name of who is sueing me. Already have given 45.00, on condition that something would be sent to my email and to stop the harassment. As of today nothing sent.

Don't know what to do. They want another payment on 18th of this month.
