Travel Ticket Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

While trying to find good tickets through Kayak, I was redirected to BestTicketFare.com. I booked two round-trip tickets for $794.08. The confirmation email showed both my husband and myself. Withing 30 minutes, a representative called asking me to change my tickets as the discounted fare didn't allow seat selection or any carry-ons. The price of which was double the amount I had already paid/agreed to. I asked for a refund. They indicated that because my tickets were greatly discounted, the fare could not be refunded. So I declined their offer of paying twice the agreed upon amount & accept the booking as is. After 2 days I still hadn't received any confirmation of the flight so I called them. The story changed insofar that now our return flights were standby only unless I wanted to pay a premium. After arguing at length, I decided to call the carrier directly. They assured me that the ticket was in fact a completed ticket - no standby but for only one passenger & the amount was $567.20. BestTicket only booked my husband (their email to me clearly showed both of us). So each tickets should have been $397.04 for a total of 794.08 but they only booked one of us and charged 567.20 & now there's an additional pending charge on the account for $742.20. How's that math working. Do not book with this company. It is definitely a bait & switch.
