When asking for a Gold travel insurance quote on Travel Guard’s website, travelguard.com, it only asks for expenses already paid. Thus, the quote may show that one is covered from the start of the trip to the end of the trip for a very low cost. This is because it never asks for the total trip expenses. In the attached example, it show that a trip to Kansas from 5/10/16 to 5/27/16 with a trip deposit of $50. The quoted insurance cost $55. However, because the website never asks for future expenses, like airlines, hotels etc. the quoted price would not cover these. Very, very misleading.
