Hired for data entry manager on 3/28. After one day of online training I received a check to purchase required computer equipment in the amount of $4,950 and told to take the $250 out that they owed me. This is when I realized it was a scam as the check was drawn on The Commerce Bank in Seattle, Washington. The check didn’t have any corporate information on it. I was instructed to deposit and to send a copy of my deposit slip with bank info hidden. The interview and training was all done through Zoom.
