Traffic Media Reports & Reviews (9)

I started working with traffic media November 12th 2022. I accepted this position with the salary of $2,500 a month or 2% of each payment processed. The company did not pay me and they ghosted me on telegram and blocked my number. This is not a good company to work for they will not pay you.

I can confirm as of 12/2/2022 they are still "hiring" for admin/customer service agents and the hiring process so far has gone exactly like other reviewers have mentioned. I am waiting for 24 hours to hear if I get to move forward with the fake training process, Lol. The interview was very fast and like others have mentioned, very generic and not specific to the role; asked about leadership styles, team lead exoerience etc when the position was not a leadership role. They also mentioned the same amount ($2500) at end of the month, in a part time role. That is way above industry standards. Honestly, in retrospect this was the first red flag. The second red flag for me was the interview being so rushed and vague. Third was when I asked about where the training takes place (Teams, Zoom?) and she said it depends on the trainer, and mentioned Skype, or any other of their choosing. Well, did not sound very professional. Why would there not be a dedicated software for training? So I did a second google search and found these reviews. Sorry folks, report this company when you see it on Indeed.

For one I’m thankful for all the other posts about this with traffic media.io. I’ve been trying to research them after the short phone interview and couldn’t really find anything on them and unsure which job site I applied to them on if I even did (I’ve been applying a lot) couldn’t find job postings on indeed etc. They’re a Hong Kong company which is odd to begin I spoke with a Lee wade over email and then a short phone interview which was weird for starters hearing him it kept making this odd static crunchy sound and he was quiet so the call was hard to hear even though I mentioned the static several times nothing improved, and I was asked about leadership related things a few times which threw me off cause I wasn’t applying for a leader role at all. It was just an odd phone interview to say the least and the once a month payment of $2,500 is weird to do vs weekly or biweekly. My candidacy was approved to move onto training but here’s another fishy thing they asked for was a selfie holding ID with a white background (sheet paper current date written on it) along with a scanned copy both sides. The email that contacted me was [email protected] Lee wade HR manager and phone number that called me was a Washington DC 2029607486 the email has two different numbers listed as well.

This scammer sent me an email regarding employment. I'm unemployed and apply to a lot of jobs. They said they were a company based in Hong Kong so that threw up red flags. So I applied and they asked for my address in the application which I thought was odd but not unheard of. The interview process was standard besides the fact they were asking questions about being offered a supervisor position when the job was for an admin. After they said I was hired was when it got very odd. They requested a valid ID on a white background. (Which I assume it's so they can easily Photoshop) when I sent an email back saying I'm researching, they sent me two more emails giving a sense of urgency. I found out in my research they are a scammer, all their names end in smith. And in training they ask for things like cash app information. I didn't provide any documents to them or ssn . If you're looking for work don't fall for these low lifes .

I was first contacted by a person by the name of Lee Wade via email. This was the original email address used for most correspondents: [email protected]. The email address above: [email protected] was used following an eight minute phone interview. The initial message, most likely meant to hook you (as it did me) said, "Greetings {your name}, Thank you for your message, we are happy to tell you more about our offer in detail." Having several auto-applying loops on top of multiple job seeker accounts, I was unable to track if I had inquired. However, after exchanging a couple emails I was still unable to fully confirm as the emails were always formally formatted, void of spelling errors, and even to my trained eye it seemed valid. Looking over the job description it's clearly to good to be true, thus research ensued, and for a "digital media" company site they lacked anything (such as keywords) that would make them easier to find online. Also a reputable scam detecting site: "https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/trafficmedia-io-review/" lead me here which the other reviewer on here had a near identical experience to me. They also didn't immediately seek personal details, until I received a "employment agreement" contract (which I'll share here). They have three numbers yet they only ever contracted me using the (202) number which was in the emails just not on the website. All-in-all I hope I was able to waste some of their time as they did mine and am able to share my experience to hopefully help someone else. It never hurts to do some extensive research for these work from home positions, and a general rule of thumb is most companies want to be found online, scams are usually harder to track down and find a sure answer. I luckily did not lose anything (except my time), nor did they ask for any upfront "fees" or "payments" to work.

My husband and I moved from Washington to the Bay Area recently. Fortunately, he was able to transfer for his job, I was not.. With that, I was desperate to find a job to help pay the bills. When I saw Traffic Media's job post on Indeed, I thought this position was too good to be true; a company from Hong Kong offering a fully remote position.. What's not to like, right? For those who shared their experience with this scam of a company, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.. Everything you guys went through, I almost was caught up into something that seemed too good for me at the time. Thanks to you and my close friends who looked through the shady conversations I had with "Jason" my trainer, I definitely dodged a bullet! For those who are in the position that I was in weeks ago, here are the things to note and be aware of for Traffic Media:

1) The only communication was through Telegram, a message app. No Zoom call or video chat was offered. If the employer isn't up for showing their face to you, that alone is suspicious enough.

2) The trainer required me to apply for accounts that needed my SSN. This was definitely a red flag since this wasn't mentioned in their so-called contract.

3) The accounts also required payment for registration, which Traffic Media "promised" to reimburse me. Thankfully, I didn't go through with it but any company should provide the training, even the compensation!

4) Their site may have looked legit, but it wasn't brought up immediately through the Google search. (https://trafficmedia.io/)

These are the main things I learned and took account of. I implore anyone to carefully consider and do their thorough research on any company. Follow your gut and don't be afraid to ask for help!

This company claims to be a digital marketing company based in Hong Kong with various sister companies and branches in multiple continents (not Africa). This company, Traffic Media, offers remote positions and had a listing on Indeed for a Customer Service Agent. However, when I applied for the job the company name was "CMF Delivery" and the posting disappeared after I applied. Then after I applied, they claimed that they called me multiple times for an interview but the call never came through (most likely a burner phone), so I, as the applicant had to call them. They interviewed me with, what seemed like, subpar Chinese accents and dialogue. They then gave me 24 hours for a candidate approval by their corporate office. Afterward, they sent me an email that I was approved and that my job was to be an Administrative Agent handling customer transactions, and that I needed to sign a contract. I signed the contract, being a novice to remote jobs, and didn't know if this was the normal procedure or not. Then I ended up signing the contract for a monthly payment of $2,500, with a 5% commission on all payments processed and a monthly performance bonus. The company had now changed its name and the title of the job posting, which was weird, to say the least. They insisted on a 30-day training period for evaluation and training and at the end, I would receive my $2,500 monthly payment. To make a long story short, today is the last day of my training, for which I was supposed to be paid. I have not been paid and most likely won't get paid. The job used the Telegram App for communication with me and never made calls nor held face chat meetings like Zoom, Teams, or Meet. The thread on Telegram was deleted by the supposed training coordinator, "John Collins," and it automatically deleted it for me too. I have screenshots of the messages and the contract, therefore, I have proof of their statements. The company made me open a cash app account for crypto purchasing, a crypto.com account for crypto mining for "customers" and even made me open a Zelle account and a JPMorgan Chase account for company "payments." I confronted the individual John Collins multiple times about the suspiciousness of the company and he adamantly denied any fraudulent intention, which of course all scammers would do. The training videos he sent me were all youtube based videos and they even sent me photos for holidays off from google. The assignments were small quizzes that could be found on google and also minuscule open-ended questions, requiring answers. Their actions towards scamming were lazily intentional as they have a website for consumers but can't even provide a real training system to make the offer seem real. Wednesday, 10/12/2022, the "trainer" John, said I needed to open a business account to handle higher-priced transactions. I steadfastly told him no and that I would need to be compensated first before any other accounts were opened. He agreed... and then disappeared and without paying me because I caught on to his scam. The company claims to be fresh and trying to reach the American market, but in reality, they just want American citizens' money. THEY DIDN'T fool this proud American. Luckily, by the grace of God, they didn't receive any money from me nor were any personal funds stolen. I have prepared to move on from this "company" and please be aware of remote job scams or any job where you do not see the interviewer's face, manager's face, or any offer that sounds too good to be true because it probably is. (Also, "John" the trainer claimed that Traffic Media was "him" as in he was the company, which exposed his scam from the get-go). STAY AWAY FROM FOREIGN JOB POSTINGS THAT WANT TO HIRE YOU AS AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AND MAKE YOU PURCHASE SOMETHING OR OPEN MULTIPLE BUSINESS AND CRYPTO ACCOUNTS FOR THEY ARE FAKE AND FRAUDULENT. THEY ARE MOST LIKELY MONEY LAUNDERING SCHEMES TRYING TO TRANSACT DIRTY MONEY ACROSS THE GLOBE. And if a company transacts money through you and the accounts are in your name, but the funds come up illegal and the company disappears... then the criminal charges come your way. Thankfully, I was cognizant enough to realize the scam early on and not have any of my money taken or money processed. ONCE AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM PHONY-LOOKING JOB OFFERS, ESPECIALLY REMOTE JOB OFFERS. IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT MOST LIKELY IS, and REMEMBER TO DO THOROUGH RESEARCH OF THE COMPANY and IF YOU STILL FEEL EERY ABOUT THEM, THEN DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT MOVE FORWARD WITH THEM AT ALL!

Any updates on getting paid with this company or it being legit or a scam?

I applied for a part time administrative assistant position the link I got it from Indeed jobs, remote in New York. Received an email through a HR person from trafficmedia.io and then he send me links to fill out an application on Traffic Media. I wasn't given a definite name for the company or any other certified details and then was asked me to contacted through Telegram for one month training. Training was went smoothly with very formal guidelines and few days later the training manager send me some platform links to download and setup crypto currency and bitcoin apps to my telephone. I was confused with my job description and with training. later on he send me some more links and asked to form an LLC and do Bitcoin and cryptocurrency exchanges. In between that there are some field visit to collect Bitcoin ATM pictures in my residence. He said he will reimburse every single money which I spend for my field visits and app registrations. With the time I realize that this was scam and the company is actually Banner West out of Hong Kong.
