Trademark infringement scam. Received warning emails about trademark infringement about my band name and not filing a trademark with uspto. A restaurant had filed and they’re claiming i can no longer use the name Im subject to a 5,000 fine.

You're receiving this email from the Legal Department of Trademark Paramount.

Since we are a provider of Design services, we are associated with different intellectual property rights organizations like World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to keep us and our clients safe from intellectual rights conflicts.

We share our records with USPTO and whenever there is an application filed with USPTO which is similar to our database our internal system generates a notification regarding trademark filing.

There is an application filed with USPTO for the trademark registration of the Name XXXXXXXXXX from North Carolina.

If you're not using the Name "XXXXXXXXXXX" in commerce and are not willing to register the trademark so, the other applicant will be honored as USPTO serves applicants on a first-come, serve basis.

We would appreciate it if you can revert to us ASAP. In case of no objection is raised from you, so the other applicant will be allowed to begin their registration following standard examination and filing procedure with USPTO.

NOTE: As per the Act of 1946 §§ 1051 et seq, it is mandatory to register your mark to hold the ownership rights federally.

This company submits trademark applications on behalf of the applicant. They created erroneous charges. when disputing the overcharge to my financial institution as a charge back, they submitted a rebuttal along with false documentation to support their request. I also contacted the united states trademark office and confirmed that this company has previously been on their radar for other scams. this company is currently being investigated by the trademark office, which is a government entity however, I’m not sure if they are yet aware.

I do have documentation, however, it contains my name on it. I would be more than happy to share this information with you upon your request.
