Received unsolicited email from "Molly Cameron [email protected]" offering attendee list for a trade show I attended in February. Suspecting already that it was already a scam, I nevertheless inquired about price and ordering information. Promptly received reply from "John Martin" telling me: "We will deliver you the 18,193 Visitor Contacts from SPIE Photonics West 2023..." The first thing I did was look up the business address in Sheridan, WY. One look at the Google Maps Street View (https://goo.gl/maps/1XTQD7DrCtYi1VoJA) told me all I needed to know. Their website (www.datainformatixinc.com) was bland and totally devoid of content. A WhoIs search for their domain (https://www.godaddy.com/whois/results.aspx?domain=www.datainformatixinc.com) revealed the website domain was registered only last June, and the registration term was for one year. No serious business reserves a domain name for only one year. Then I found this ScamPulse.com site, indicating this operation had already been reported as a scam. That's all, folks!
