I received a phone call from someone who called just to verify business information about the non-profit I work for. Approximately three weeks later I received a fraudulent invoice from Trade Industry Network, 1324 Lexington Ave., #328, New York, NY 10128. I called them and they said it was a listing for an online directory ad that we had placed. That was never mentioned by the representative who called, nor was it authorized. The employee I spoke to said they would cancel it and when I questioned the invoice and how it was authorized, they said they do not record phone calls. The whole thing is a scam.

This company called, asked for our sales director, when they got her on the phone they asked to "update our address". We then receive an invoice for "directory listing" for $ 987.00 which we never ordered or authorized. I sent an e-mail advising that this is a scam, we will not pay to [email protected] per their invoice on 10/13 - no reply to this email, BUT: since 10/26 we get DAILY harrassing collection phone calls from a company calling themselves "Universal Media" - internet is full of scam warnings about them, phone number 866-343-2140 to pay the invoice. I have reported them to the FCC today as they will not stop calling despite being asked to never contact our business again.

A woman called several weeks ago and said she was updating some information for my business' Dun & Bradstreet listing. She asked me a few questions about our business and the key stakeholders. She then went into a quick-talking recap of the services they provide and threw in that the price would be $329 for each of our three listings. At that point, I told her I did not agree to anything and I was not buying anything. She talked over me, finished her speech and hung up on me.



Later, I got a bill for $987. I called them, but no one answered.
