I received an email from Mary Benson who said she found my resume on LinkedIn. Looking for an administrative assistant, part time . If interested click on the link and complete the application. Next day I got an email saying that I had been hired and when could I start. Sent back the offer letter and started on Monday. Did a couple of basic spreadsheets. Today Ms. Robcon let me know a check was coming in the mail. Got the check saw it was drawn on Citizens Bank and told them I would cash it and then deposit the funds. Was told it could only be deposited not cashed. At this point knew it was a scam.
