I wanted a Maine C o o n kitten and did an online search over a week or so to see what was out there. Clicked on a search result and went to www.topmainecoonkittens where I fell for NICK, a 11 wk old male. Sent request for info and received a call from Darcy Elton, the breeder, who said 700.00 for delivery and kitten. I checked the BBB, the ICA, I checked for spelling errors and did a search on picture of NICK, no other uses of that image. I did lots of internet searches on this woman etc. So I paid 500.00, would give other 200.00 on delivery of kitten. KITTEN would arrive in two-days and Darcy would send all info about flight, etc as soon as she got it. Next day, nothing from Darcy all morning. I received flight info paperwork, good to go. Then someone from Secure Pet Express sent me info saying they are ready to go get the cat, but they need 970.00 immediately for the proper crate. I knew then it was a scam. All internet sites and paperwork I saw looked 100% legit. I lost $500 and that's on me. Be careful!
