Contacted them for 2 weeks on the apartmentlist website and got the standard email saying they received my request. I selected the application and a name came up to text "John" at a number provided. I did and requested a viewing before I submitted and paid for an application. They didn't respond. I sent another text saying I would drive by and view myself the outside. They responded and told me they were only handling people that had submitted an application (35 dollars per each adult) non refundable and to answer some "prescreening" questions. I gave them a brief bio and monthly income/employer. They then got rude and said that even if I looked at it, "no worries, feel free to drive by. I won't be asking for any app fees or deposits as we're already working with other applications". I'd been trying for over 2 weeks to see this place. Nobody gives up 70 dollars or more to submit an application for a house to live in, sight unseen. This is not how rental properties are run, and you don't take people's money without allowing them to see the property. The house was just bought in Nov according to a realtor's website, so I believe this is a scam. The rent wouldn't have even covered the mortgage payment. They wanted the app fees and were trying to get a deposit. 2570.00 total.
