They are using LinkedIn job postings that look exactly like the true company. Using EasyApply process and you receive an email indicating you have been short listed for an interview. Next an email arrives from a Toni B Howell, seemingly from the company, advising to complete a pre-screen set of questions, all looks pretty standard and professional. The step that alerted me was the 3rd correspondence indicating being hired, an hourly rate and steps to starting training, etc. This email was very different and had many grammatical errors throughout, which alerted me as suspicious, as an established company would never allow such errors to be presented. the hourly rate and indications of how work would be received was also a tip off, as the role applied for was not an hourly position and would be leading people, not working daily set assignments. Additionally, payment was advised an accepted by 'wire' which I have never seen from any organization for payroll. This email began to ask for more personal information, such as home address, phone contact number (which was on my resume), etc. all indicating I would receive a check to setup my home office, however I had yet to speak with anyone directly. I am not aware of any organization that would hire someone without speaking to them directly and ensuring they are a fit and that the interviewee also has a chance to ask questions.
