Everything sounded and looked legit as I did my research on the company, which is a real one, I looked at the LinkedIn profile and everything matched. But it raised a flag once I got the job offer after a couple of messages through the app and an "assessment" that was requested. They send me two checks via email PDF for $4,949 each. Which he asked me to send $1000 to two "vendors" via Zelle and the rest through CashApp. Out of all of that, he told me that based on the time I took for the assessment and the transactions I did I will be staying with $400 altogether. I sent an email to the company directly to verify this and if not to be aware they are using them as scams. I am so heartfelt about the situation as I am awaiting for all that money almost 10k to be taken out of my acct and jobless on top of it all. I don't know who in their right mind will do things such as these.
