The company reached out to my Uncle via text message stating I had a lawsuit pending against me and needed to confirm my address. I gave them a call to see what was going on and they stated that Ace Cash Express had issued a lawsuit against me and I needed to pay them to make it go away. I asked to receive something in writing and the rep told me that wasn’t possible. I explained that I would like to review anything before I paid and that I had a law office working on my behalf to pay this back. When mentioning the law office they said it wasn’t something that needed to involve them and that I needed to pay. I was then hung up on when refusing to pay. They also wouldn’t tell me how much I owed. I after called Ace Cash Express to confirm that I had no pending legal matter with them and that it was in collections with another company.
