I initially applied to a Customer Service Representative position on Indeed. A few days later I was contacted via email through an HR service called keldair.com by someone purporting to be from Tishman Construction Corporation. They informed me that my application had been reviewed and that they were requesting an interview. The email gave me a link to the "company" website and informed me to contact a hiring manager named Michael Drew (email: [email protected]) via Skype. I then went to the website to do some research. Right off the bat I saw some red flags. All of the "Project" photos they had appeared to be stock photos. A quick google search led to find a couple of them, confirming that were indeed stock photos. I then went to the "The Team" page and began to google all of the five "designers" who apparently worked for the company. After searching for all of them, I could not find a single professional profile, personal social media profile or any other record of any of their existence. I then decided to contact Michael Drew anyway and he informed me that the "interview" would be conducted over text. I asked if there was ever going to be a phone interview or video chat interview, and he said no. He then told me about the job description, pay (done through direct deposit) and the hiring process. The job was supposed to be remote, but he then told me that they were going to "set up an office space in your area." That was the finally sketchy straw. I then confronted him with what I had found and said I would need to talk or video chat with someone in order to continue. He didn't reply. I then reported him to Skype and reported the listing to Indeed. Recently I was contacted again through the same HR service by someone again purporting to be from Tishman. Again they said I had been chosen for an interview, but this time they instructed me to contact Sandra Packer (email: [email protected]) via Google Chat. It appears they are still trying to scam others with a fake job listing for a fake company.
