On may 16, 2022, I post on classified on line puert Rico, and adds selling a Saxophone in $400.00. I received an offer from Timothy Brown of $520.00 and I have to send by Ups to Irma Mercado, P.O. Box 165, Yauco, Puerto Rico 00698. He said that is a gift for her. Send the instrument on May, 19 2022. He paid using PayPal (520.00) I received a message from PayPal that the money is going to be pending because is a business account. In the message said that I have to send him $450.00 to liberates my money from my PayPal account. Mr Timothy started to send me message every day to send he’s money. He said: go to a Walmart store and when you are there I told you what to do. I went to the store, when I was there he said by phone, by gift cards, I took pictures of the cards that the store has and select Apples cards. I told him that I don’t have $450.50 on my bank account. He said: go and call somebody to lending of 450.00. I call one of my brother to loan me the money años as soon PayPal liberated my money I send him back. I purchased the gift cards at Walmart, fours (4) of 100.00 and one (1) of 50.00. He said, send me the pictures, I do. Later send a message that PayPal don’t accept gift cards to pay. I was very worried because I use my brothers money for that. I crying and I was very desperate for this situation. I’m a 69 yr old woman.. Next day I went to Walmart and explain that we can’t use the gift cards to pay ay PayPal. I want to change for cash the gift cards, but the said can’t. Suggest to call Apple. I call Apple and they said that they can’t redeem the money. I send a message to Timothy Brown a explained that I can’t cash out the cards. Almost I can’t used because that’s gift cards is only for items that show in the back of the cards only. Now I have $450.00 in gift cards that I can’t used. I’m so worried about that I call PayPal customer service,ask them if I have any doubts in my account, they said that’s my account is clear, because he (Mr Timothy )said that I have $1,092.00 on my account . I call my daughter and tell her that I received a message from PayPal that they put on hold the money from the purchase of the Saxophone, and she said: “ Mom that’s spam message. I’m never tell her what I doing, send money to a person that I don’t know. I realize that I was victim of fraud “ It’s and Elder Fraud “ I don’t have to much information about this men. What’s up business account (+447535954285) from this number he always send the messages. He said that he is from California and he was in the UK working. That he works for 1c3.gov. He have now a new phone number (1-662)-642-1642 from this number was he’s las calls and messages. He promised that he will send me the money $450.00 for my brother. I still waiting. Last time said that he’s going to deposit on my bank account. Nothing yet. Hope this information help to my problem. I’m going to try to get more information from him.
