My husband and I were both targeted by this. We each received phone calls to our cell phone stating that we were in collection for a cable account in Cincinnati OH. Where we never lived. They had information on us including last four of ssn. They sent a fraud affidavit for us to complete and send back to them that was asking for all our information including drivers license,

employer and so on. They also wanted us to do a police report which made it all seem legit. Our information was jeopardized by Anthem Blue cross in 2015 so I contacted Anthem and got connected to their credit protection program for free. They advised us not to send any information to Time Warner the only thing on our credit was the fake address. We are on fraud alert now.

I called *** *** to inquire about cable service. I spoke with a woman who said she would call me back in a day or so about what I was interested in. Within a day or so I got a call from a man who claimed to be with *** *** and asked me for all my personal information: Soc sec number, age , debit card number address etc. I set up an appointment to have it installed. I got another call a day or so later from another person saying they were with *** *** ask me to set an appointment. I told him I already set an appointment. I got suspicious at this time and called back the original sales rep I had spoken to about the appointment I had set with the first man that called. She said she found no information in the *** *** system that I had done so. I though the first man was from *** *** I gave him all the info that he asked for since I know a credit chaeck is done many times when you sign up for this type of service. I am now cancelling my debit card and contacting the credit bureaus to let them know that someone I do not know has my personal information
