I allegedly won an IG “sweepstake” from someone who claimed association with the GodIsDope brand. Tierra Kittings (@tierra.kittings) requested my Cash App information along with my contact information to claim my prize of some apparel and $50. Tierra told me that her “assistance” would follow up with me via phone. I provided basic contact (name, address and phone number). They needed my Cash App information to send the money. Her assistant “Evan” called to “verify” my information. I gave him the same information, but he said he needed additional information to verify that it was me. I started the verification process through Cash App. Cash App would then send verification codes via text, and I would provide them to him. By this time, I knew this was a scam because he wanted me to screenshot what Cash App was sending me, which included a link to access my account. I told him that the text stated: “Don’t share this link. Anyone asking for it is trying to access your Cash App account. We don’t need this link to assist you.” Once I told him that, he hung up. I tried calling back, but my number is blocked, along with my IG account.
