I was recently laid off and uploaded my resume to INDEED. I received an email (from [email protected]) stating that "they" received my resume from INDEED and I was selected as an applicant for a part-time job. I was told to contact their Senior Corporate Recruiter, Tony Bruce for an immediate interview via google HANGOUTs. I contacted Tony Bruce, at [email protected], via google hangouts and informed him I was looking for a full time job. He asked if I was immediately available for an interview, so I said ok, at a minimum for some practice. He asked a few generic interview questions and then went into the details of the job: work from home, 2 to 3 hours a day, 3 to 4 times a week, any hours I wanted, making 800 to 1000 dollars a month. The job was printing off check and mailing them to customers. Then he informed me I would be receiving cash deposits and I would need CASHAPP or ZELLE to handle this. I was informed I would have to purchase my own special printing paper and ink for the check I would be sending out and he wanted me to purchase these items asap to start training. (I would be reimbursed on my first paycheck) So I asked him, "that's it, I'm hired? No background check, no I-9 to fill out, no W-4 to fill out, no official email or offer letter from Ticor? He responded we have our ways of doing that later. I was growing even more suspicious, so I looked up Ticor Title and contacted their Coporate Human Resource department. They confirmed that "Tony Bruce" was NOT a representative of their company and they would NEVER ask for anyone to purchase their own material, nor use their own personal cash apps. I asked "Tony" if he had a way to prove who he was and he very quickly said "I wasn't ready" and our conversation ended.
