I applied to a job opportunity posted on Indeed. Within a few days, I received a message on Indeed from “HR” saying they reviewed my application & asking that I submit a resume & cover letter to [email protected]. A few days after submitting my resume and cover letter, I was contacted by email to “verify my identity” so they could move forward with the interview and hiring process. I sent my driver’s license, but no other information. After this, I was contacted via text message to provide further identification. I was sent a code to my phone and asked to relay the code to “HR.” I said I felt uncomfortable doing this & was not contacted again.
