I had signed up with Thumbtack and arranged for one of their professionals to do some work at my home. I later checked his company information and could not find that he had a licensed business. In addition, I did not see a security check through Thumbtack on him or his company. I opened a chat. I don't know if the pro is licensed and don't want to penalize him at all. It is Thumbtack's responsibility to provide licensed and security checked individuals to their online customers.

How do I know if they are licensed or if there is a background safety check

on them

and if they have completed the background check. Can I get the name of the

pro you're referring to so I can check?

shows that they have not completed the background check and no license

listed. However, you may still confirm with the pro about their license.

I understand where you're coming from. There are categories where we

require pros to take the background check and upload their license before

they can continue using the platform. In any case they are not able to do

so, their account are being restricted.
