My husband received a $500 dollar Pre Paid Visa Gift card from a company in Canada as a bonus. The expiration date was
05/25 . He gave the gift card to me and I was assuming we had time to use it...so I put it on the shelf for a rainy day. well a few months later ( as I forgot about it) I went to use it and it had been compromised already in Dallas Texas . We live in Canada. I have never been to Texas and with the pandemic going on there was no one traveling.
I reached out to the Perfect Gift people several times explaining the situation and to make a long story short ..we are Not being compensated for the loss!! I was told that once they are purchased they are activated so then open to any thief who sits on their pc and wait for the numbers to generate on these cards so they can steal and use them.??? This is very unfortunate I understand .How many people does this happen to?? I know 3 other than myself.. this is disgusting that people use their hard earned money and think by purchasing these as gifts for Family and friends that they are safe but in reality they are NOT and easily compromised meaning people are losing thousands of dollars daily by purchasing these and NOT being able to use them ! There is no security with these cards for the person purchasing them!!
so the outcome of this would be that I am compensated for my loss and or a Warning is put out that these pre paid visa credit cards are subject to easily be compromised and therefore the person receiving these will be unable to use them !
