I received an email that I won a power tool at or from Lowe's; the fee was $5.96. I did not notice it till I received the November credit card statement that I was charged $54.98. I went back and discovered that I was being charged $54.98 every month. I called and asked what the was charge for, and I was told its a subscription to be entered in a draw every month to win a power tool. I have paid $280.86 and would have paid a lot more had I not caught the trick to win about $180.00 power tool! If this is not a scam I don't know what a scam is. How many people have been snarled by this trick, and for how long, need to be investigated? I keep getting such emails but I ignore them. Here is my record from the credit card statements.
