I saw an ad on TikTok for The Big Touch, a large touch screen tablet on sale for 59.99. I visited the site. It looked legitimate. They even emailed to remind me I left the item in my shopping cart…just like other stores do. I made the purchase on March 30th through an online system. It sent me a confirmation number and it was debited from my bank account. It’s been a few weeks and I haven’t received an email with delivery confirmation or anything. I tried to go back to the website listed in the payment confirmation email and the website no longer exists. Instead it takes me to a Shopify page asking to connect the domain. I’m hoping I wasn’t scammed but it feels like I was. They have my billing address, debit card number, delivery address, etc. because I filled out the form to purchase the item.
