Recently I inquired about legal representation. I came across this billboard that had this "the traffic guys" phone number on it. So I called the phone number in hopes of finding a lawyer. The guy told me that his law group could get my violations reduced and/or removed to avoid points on my license. I had a few speeding tickets and he quoted me a really affordable price for everything. But I had my doubts from the initial conversation, I could tell the guy wasn't professional nor business savvy with potential clients. The guy insisted on me meeting with him at a public place to drop off the cash. He told me that for such a small fee they wouldn't do a payment plan and that all monies had to be turned in before he could represent me. At that point in time, I was still at work and couldn't get off until later that evening. I told him that I was willing to get the money on my break from the ATM service and make the payment there after in the form of a money order. But he insisted we get things going as soon as possible. Even suggesting for me to borrow the money from a friend or family member so he start my case. I asked about dropping the money order off to his place of business by a third party and he refused to give an address. He jokingly replied to that request by saying "if we were going to scam you, we could do it from a building too if that's the case." I then wanted to know more about the business. He told me that they were a subsidiary through Vickers and associates and that they have advertisements at bus stops as well as on lots. After ending the phone conversation, I searched the internet for any reviews, any information on the business possible and found nothing. At this point, I text the guy and ask if they were accredited. His response told me everything I suspected all along. (See attachment)
