Scammer Robert "Bob" White called me posing as an employee for a consolidating loan assistance company called "The Student Loan Assistance Company". He offered many deals on a payment plan and set up a payment system where I would pay his company a "processing fee" of $895 total over 4 months of $223.75 per month. He said once payments are done I will then begin to pay "Nelnet" on my loan. Being a recent college graduate and naive to the federal loans payment process, I did know any better and accepted the terms. He then sent me a form where I had to list my personal info, SSN, birthday, company, address, parents name & number, etc. After paying the $895 I called back to to get an update and my "new company rep" named "Stormy" informed me Bob didn't work for the company anymore and knew very little info on my situation and said my new servicer was "Navient". The unorganized system and suspicious personal names & suspicious actions of both people finally drew red flags for me and led me to do research in which I found I had been scammed. I found Navient to be a real loan consolidation company, but "The Student Loan Assistance Company" is not a real company. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM and I pray the ScamPulse.com can catch these people and hopefully recover all personal information they have taken from victims like myself and stop them from scamming more people in the future.
