The Shaw Academy has a four week trial. After signing up for the trial to see if it would be beneficial for me I was subsequently unable to access my account during the four week period. Whenever I tried to access my account they used a trial sign up form pop up which blocked access to my account. Preventing cancellation of the trial. There was no way I could cancel my account before the trial ended even though they claim that I could cancel at any time. After four weeks they charged me $69.99. I am concerned that this was created in the webpage as a way to harvest more money from people during the trial period. Preventing people from cancelling the trial if they didn't like the services offered by Shaw Academy.

I took one photography course with the Shaw Academy last year (July, 2016) during which time they offered a “free 30 day trial membership”, which I canceled within the time they specified and yet since then they have continued to charge my credit card $39 monthly. I have made several attempts to contact the Shaw Academy in order to:

1. To stop charging my credit card.

2. Find out what the charge is for since the so called membership gives access to nothing.

As yet no one from the Shaw Academy has contacted me. I did contact my credit card company and they reversed the charges and fees and issued me a new card, however, the Shaw Academy is now charging the new card. I have contacted my credit card company again and they are working with me to resolve this but it is costing me a lot of time and it is insane that I have to go through this every month.

The fact that this company continues to charge my credit card without my authorization and without any explanation of what I am being charged for and refuse to contact me surely must be a scam and at the very least certainly a bad business practice.

I am reaching out in hopes that someone can help me to resolve this matter and prevent it from happening over and over again in future.
