Secret Shoppers beware! Someone hijacked a linkedin account from an ex coworker and contacted me about this Secret Shopper opportunity. When I researched the business name under BBB it shows this business as a scam. I have received several messages and was asked to confirm receipt of email via text message at 718-504-0336. The emails come from John Barnes with bits and pieces of what would be expected with my first assignment to prove myself, of which I am still waiting for the mail to come with my offer (this week). What is scary is that I thought a friend was referring me. I was receiving legitamate emails from my ex coworker through Linkedin and found that someone else was responding as I reached out to my ex coworker through his business email vs linkedin to confirm if he in facted hooked me up with this awesome opportunity to be a secret shopper. My ex coworker has confirmed his Linkedin account was hacked.
